Bento Workshop

The Art of a Balanced Meal According to Washoku

In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn how to prepare a balanced bento, following the principles of washoku, the traditional Japanese cuisine recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

For Michèle, a complete bento always includes five vegetable side dishes in different colors, served with rice and a protein component of your choice – chicken, fish, or tofu. All prepared dishes will be tasted at the end of the session.

Michèle has operated a bento delivery service in Biel/Bienne since 2017. She is a trained chef specializing in Japanese cuisine and won third place in an international washoku competition in Japan.

Il laboratorio rappresenta un’occasione unica per apprendere l’equilibrio, la stagionalità e l’estetica che rendono il washoku un’esperienza culinaria completa.
