Ki, the Energy of Breath
The Inner Movement
In this workshop, you will experience breathing techniques that help increase Ki energy and support its inner flow. This enhances both a deeper self-connection and the release of internal tensions, allowing you to regain a state of overall well-being.
As Master Nishino explains, the term K refers to vital energy according to ancient Japanese tradition. In Japanese, the characters for "to live" and "to breathe" are pronounced the same: iki. In other words, to live is to breathe. When the character iki is repeated as iki-iki, it expresses vitality or energy—literally meaning very active breathing. Cultivating Ki through breath, therefore, means nurturing your vital life force.
The Yagō Association, based in the Lugano area, was founded to share the ancient Eastern teachings of breathwork. Yagō is a historical Japanese term that refers to a House of Practice—a traditional space dedicated to the sharing of a practice or art.
