A hands-on experience to learn how to prepare traditional Japanese rice balls. From properly cooking the rice, preparing the filling, to shaping the onigiri using the right techniques.
The course will begin with selecting the most suitable rice for making onigiri, followed by washing it to remove excess starch and achieve the proper texture. Participants will then learn the traditional cooking method to ensure the rice is compact yet soft, as per tradition. Once ready, the classic filling, Tsuna Mayo, will be prepared. The experience will be complemented with Japanese sake, for a complete and authentic immersion.
