"Trame d'Oriente" is a collection of 10 mini kimonos, carefully and creatively crafted by the students of the Fashion Design Department at the School of Arts and Crafts (SAMS) in Biasca. Each piece pays tribute to the elegance, symbolism, and refinement of Japanese tradition, reinterpreted through the sensitivity and perspective of young designers.

Every mini kimono is unique: the result of personal research into Oriental patterns, colours, and decorative techniques. Each was created using precious vintage silk fabrics sourced from authentic kimonos. The students explored the symbolic meaning of the textiles, experimenting with shapes, folds, and tailoring details to give life to small works of art that embody stories, emotions, and dreams.

The exhibition will be held in Pavilion E, on Saturday, September 20 at 5:00 p.m., it will be followed by a conference presenting the creative and educational journey behind the project.

"Trame d'Oriente" is more than an exhibition: it is a bridge between cultures, an exercise in beauty and meaning, and an invitation to rediscover the narrative power of fabric and tradition.
