Ikebana

Discover the timeless art of ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, through an introduction to the Ikenobō School, the oldest school of ikebana, established in Kyoto in the 15th century.

During this workshop, you'll explore the fundamental principles of ikebana, including the relationship between line, space, balance, and harmony. By observing natural materials, you'll create your own floral arrangement while gaining insight into the philosophy behind this refined art form.

Participants will be introduced to the foundations of the Ikenobō School, learning how to select branches and flowers, understand plant materials, and apply essential cutting and arranging techniques.
