Media and Creator guidelines
◗ 19–20 September 2026 · Espocentro, BellinzonaThank you for your interest in Japan Matsuri. By requesting a Media or Creator accreditation and accepting these guidelines, you agree to comply with them for the entire duration of the event.
These provisions apply to professional news outlets, photographers, videomakers, bloggers, websites, content creators and influencers. Accreditation is granted by the organisation to support proper coverage of the event and the creation of content that respects the public, the guests, the exhibitors and the staff.
1Accreditation and badge
- Wear your badge visibly throughout the event and show it to staff on request.
- The badge is personal and non-transferable.
- Accreditation grants access only to permitted areas and does not include access to backstage, dressing rooms, behind the stage or other restricted areas, unless authorised in advance by the organisation.
2Content creation and filming
- Photos, videos and other content must be produced in the areas open to the public or in the spaces indicated by the organisation.
- Do not enter technical areas, backstage or service zones without authorisation.
- Do not obstruct the flow of the public or the work of exhibitors, artists or staff.
- Respect the other media and creators present: accreditation does not guarantee exclusive access or special privileges, unless specifically agreed with the organisation.
3Guests, artists and exclusive content
- Interviews, dedicated photo shoots, close-up filming or exclusive content with guests, artists, speakers or official delegations must be agreed in advance with the organisation.
- A Media or Creator accreditation does not automatically guarantee the possibility of interviews or private meetings.
- Any special opportunities will be assigned by the organisation to a limited number of selected accredited persons, based on content quality, profile relevance, guest availability and organisational needs.
4Respect for people and privacy
- Anyone producing photographs, videos or other content is responsible for complying with the applicable privacy and data-protection legislation.
- It is the accredited person's responsibility to obtain any necessary consent before producing or publishing images or content in which individuals are identifiable, particularly where required by law.
- Do not film or publish identifiable images of minors without the consent of a parent or the person responsible for them.
- Japan Matsuri is not responsible for any improper use of images or content published by accredited persons. The accredited person holds Japan Matsuri harmless from any claims relating to content they produced and published in breach of these guidelines or of the applicable legislation.
- Always respect the privacy and dignity of the people attending the event.
5During shows, talks and ceremonies
- Do not block the audience's view and do not go on stage without authorisation.
- Always follow the instructions of the staff and the security personnel.
- Respect any restrictions on flash, photography or video recording communicated for specific performances, guests or ceremonies (e.g. kagami-biraki).
6Publishing content and use of the brand
- Content produced during Japan Matsuri may be published on your own social channels and used to tell the story of your experience at the event.
- Accredited creators must tag the official Japan Matsuri channels in the content they publish about the event and use the official hashtags indicated by the organisation.
- Media and other editorial outlets are invited to credit Japan Matsuri as the source where relevant.
- The organisation may re-share content published by accredited creators on its official channels, crediting the author.
- The Japan Matsuri logo, name and graphic elements may not be used for commercial or advertising purposes, or to suggest partnerships or collaborations not agreed with the organisation.
- Published content must not be offensive, defamatory or damaging to the image of Japan Matsuri, its guests, exhibitors, partners or attendees.
7Safety and equipment
- Always keep escape routes, emergency exits and safety paths clear.
- Follow the instructions of the security personnel and the staff at all times.
- The use of drones, professional lighting, tripods, monopods or equipment that may obstruct the public or interfere with the event requires the organisation's prior authorisation.
8Liability and revocation of accreditation
- You are responsible for your conduct and your equipment. The organisation is not liable for damage, theft or loss of personal belongings.
- Failure to comply with these guidelines or with staff instructions may result in the immediate revocation of the accreditation and removal from the event, without notice.
