Paint Your Own Daruma

Daruma dolls are traditional Japanese figurines that represent Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. With no arms or legs and a distinctive bearded face with white eyes, Daruma are rich in symbolism and vary in color and design depending on the region and artist.

In this workshop, you will have the chance to paint your own Daruma. Following tradition, only the left eye is painted at first while making a wish. If the wish comes true, the right eye is then added.

This is a unique opportunity to engage with an ancient Japanese tradition and create a personalized symbol of determination, hope, and good fortune.
