Japanese Dance & Culture Workshop

Discover Japanese culture through movement in this beginner-friendly workshop inspired by the principles and aesthetics of traditional Japanese dance.

Participants will explore the characteristic movements, gestures, postures and expressive qualities of traditional Japanese dance while discovering the cultural meanings behind them. Through movement, they will experience how Japanese dance reflects an appreciation of nature, grace in everyday gestures, and a unique sense of rhythm, space (ma) and human connection.

No previous dance experience is required. The workshop is open to both children and adults and welcomes anyone interested in discovering Japanese culture through movement.
