Sando Cooking Workshop
Sando (サンド) are the famous Japanese sandwiches, known for their soft and light bread, carefully prepared fillings, and simple yet refined presentation. They have become iconic for their perfect balance of flavours and their clean, elegant appearance.
During this workshop, you will prepare both a savoury and a sweet version.
For the savoury sando, you will make the classic tamago sando, featuring an egg filling prepared with the famous Kewpie mayonnaise, a Japanese mayonnaise known for its rich flavour and slightly sweeter taste compared to traditional mayonnaise. You will learn how to achieve a creamy and perfectly balanced texture, ideal for this iconic Japanese sandwich.
For the sweet sando, you will create a filling based on cream and fresh fruit, discovering how to achieve a perfect balance between the smoothness of the cream and the freshness of the fruit, with particular attention to the final composition and presentation.
During the workshop, you will also learn how to properly assemble the sando, cut them with precision, and achieve a clean and elegant presentation inspired by Japanese culinary aesthetics.
At the end of the workshop, you will also receive a PDF guide with the complete sando preparation process, allowing you to easily recreate the techniques and recipes at home.
